I was browsing about breast cancer for my pathology PBL next week, and suddenly I found this article about a woman in Palestine. Those who have soooo much time or very tired of studying I recommend you to read about this. Sebuah kisah benar yang amat menyentuh hati di permulaanya, dan menaikkan darah di pertengahannya dan di pengakhirannya ada sedikit penyesalan. Breast cancer awareness

Satu pesanan lagi, breast cancer is one of the commonest cancer nowadays. The risk is quite high, 1 over 9 women. Please detect it as soon as posibble because it is treatable at early stage. Panjang lebar juga saya bercerita kepada emak saya. Entah dia faham ke tak. Hihi. Saya cuma risau walaupun macam agak kurang termasuk dalam risk factors. Oh ya, here I summarised about the risk factor of this cancer.

1. Female and advancing age
2. Early menarche (first menstruation) and late menopause - (long time exposed to estrogen)
3. Overweight
4. Diet factors (long-listed food!)
5. Age at first full term pregnancy - more than 35 years old of first birth higher risk
6. Nulliparaous women (tak pernah mengandung)
7. Family history
8. Genetic factors (p53 gene, BRCA1, BRCA2, bla2... kene hafal!)
9. Radiation exposure
10. Lack of exercise
11. Less breast-feeding
12. Environmental toxins
13. Tobacco
