Manipal, me,and..... doughnut

Warning: This post is quite boring. Don't read unless you are also boring. Thank you.

So, the title seems like telling something about my currently favorite evening kuih, doughnut! Since here in Manipal we dont have so much choices for food especially for our evening tea, the common doughnut has just turned to an inredible doughnut for me. mrgreen I always starving after evening class even though I just take my lunch at 12.30pm everyday. And I think it just me, who loves to eat. But my weight doesn't seems to increase. I just don't know why. Penat makan banyak.

Ada apa dengan donat? This evening while waiting for maghrib time I got a phone a call from a friend who is a shopkeeper at Nandini's shop. She is the pretty akka, and very friendly also. (Note: 'akka' is the name that we used to call local people as for respect. The meaning is just like 'akak' in Malay) I used to know her since my stay in Premier Residency apartment early of this year. I used to be the Nandini's constant customer since then. Their shop is just completely perfect goods with fantastically service of the shop owner. Am I exaggerating? Hehe. But it just true. Trust me. They love Malaysian so much. That's explain why they just love a regular customer like me. cool

So, I answer the phone call. The conversation went on:

Nandini's akka : Hello Pretty! (Ok, she used to call me that, because she had some difficulties in pronouncing my name) Im the Nandini's akka.

Me: Owh, yeah, I know you. Well, good evening, akka!

Nandini's akka :
Good evening. Erm, the doughnuts are here. They're just coming.

Me:
Ok! I will come to your shop, but Im sorry I cannot make it now. Because I need to do my prayer, I will come on 7.30. Can you please keep a box for me?

Nandini's akka :
Where are you staying? I know you live nearby.

Me : You mean you wanna deliver the doughnuts to my house? Akka?

Nandini's akka :
Yeah, sure. I dont have any problem with that, so that I will know your house. Come on, what is your house number?

Me
: Erk, okay, it is 401 Premier Residency.

Nandini's akka :
Okay, Im coming in another 5 to 10
minutes. Wait no...

Me :
Sure, I will. Thanks a lot akka!
(With a big grin biggrin on my face)

Everyday when I walked home from lecture hall, I stopped at the Nandini's shop just to make sure my favorite doughnut were there on the counter. It was the limited edition of doughnut which you only can get it on certain time and day. So, its required a little bit lucky or 'ada rezeki' to have the doughnut with you.

I think the akka was just tired to see my face everyday craving for doughnuts with full of hopes just like a patient who is very dependence on drug, eg: morphine. Im a doughnut addict! So, she saved my phone number, so that, when there is doughnut, she can easily call me. What a very special treat that I acquired. Hihi. Never dreamt of having a box of doughnut delivery in life. Isk3

Sometimes I think my life is quite pampered. I was in a zone of comfortable living. Well, to not to really worry of income matter, supportive family, having nice cliques around me, great people to admire as role model, no need to worry about getting job, living in a harmonious environment, with a little bit pressure in study (It is normal for students to have that worry). All the ni'mah which I have I should never kufur on that. Kufur is the opposite of syukur. Just sometimes I think that Im quite selfish to not really care to other side of this world. I mean, I have a responsibility for amal ma'ruf and nahi mungkar.

Today upon I cycled from Sharada court, I saw a scene which I used to not to watch it for such a long time ago. I mean after our IYA (Islamic Youth Association) leader warned some muslim students who were different sex being on a motorcycle. After the warning I did not see those scene anymore, or at least the frequency of the action is reduce among the people who I used to know them well. Maybe they might have some urgent or they were not intended to do so and they tried to make it in better manner. Im just an observer from far. I cannot judge people just like that. But, seriously when they saw me, they looked awkward suddenly. Fine, I hope I will not see you guys being in the same scene after this.

I remembered an ustaz said, "kita jaga tepi kain orang tak apa, tapi jangan jaga dalam kain orang". A point to ponder. Hurm.

Today, in my forensic class, the brilliant lecturer who always open my mind widely to the world exposed that, most of the child abuse happen in Europe more than Asian country. We were discussing about type of injury occur on head. There's something called contre-coup, a bruising of the brain caused by a blow appearing on the opposite side to that on which the blow was struck. One of the reason was due to social style of European compared to Asian. When he asked us about 'shaken baby syndrome' he amazingly shocked as he found that we don't ever heard the term before. "So, you are very nice and innocent people". neutral We, Asian did not practice those kind of multiple partner in life. He said, when he went to Bahamas couple of years ago, the people there were just amazed him for having only a wife for his 20 years of life. He jokingly added, what if they know about his grandpa of being loyal to his grandmum for 60 years of life! Hehe
mrgreen People there used to change partner almost every year and that's why they named their children with different last name even of the same siblings. From there, the child abuse problems develop. That's one of his hypotheses. It makes sense though.

Kadang-kadang banyak sangat perkara dalam hidup yang kita terlepas pandang. Semakin kita dewasa, semakin banyak yang kita belajar. Semakin banyak kita belajar semakin banyak perkara yang kita tak tahu. So, belajar, belajar dan belajarlah.

I don't know why Im writing this. Maybe because I myself is in a zone of fatigue to study right now. So I try to share of what I have today with the readers. Moga dapat manfaat bersama.
